In any other areas where the existing noise barrier requires relocation due to impacts related to the construction of the TPA, MTO will replace, where feasible, the barrier with 5 m high concrete barrier. The use of absorptive barrier face is recommended.
There is existing wooden acoustic barrier north of the freeway from Parkdale Ave. to Rochester Ave. The wooden acoustic barrier, which is at the end of its service life, will be replaced with concrete, absorptive face, barrier.
