The International Bridge crossing is located between Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, and Sault Ste. Marie Michigan (Wellington, Huron and Bay Streets).

Improvements

A $15.1 million investment was announced on May 7, 2004, under the borders component of SHIP. This investment is for a proposed new truck route link between Highway 17 and the International Bridge. This is a commitment of $5.6 million by Ontario, $5.6 million by the federal government, and $3.9 million by the City of Sault Ste. Marie. The new truck route will be open to traffic by summer 2006.
