Truck Ferry Road Infrastructure and Signing Improvements
The Detroit-Windsor Truck Ferry
The Detroit-Windsor Truck Ferry, located in the City of Windsor, provides crossing services for the transport of hazardous materials and oversize loads.
New way-finding signs have been installed along the route from Highway 401 and E.C. Row Expressway to provide improved directions to the Truck Ferry location from major interchanges.
Work includes improvements to the road leading to the ferry, docking facilities, improvements to the parking area illumination and drainage improvements.
Current Project Status
- Detailed design of the road infrastructure improvements is complete.
- Construction began on October 5, 2009.
