Province launches online booking for road tests

TORONTO - To further improve customer service, the province has launched Road Test Booking Online, Ontario's latest Internet service, Transportation Minister Norm Sterling announced today.

  • Book a road test;
  • Cancel a road test;
  • Inquire about the first available test date, or request a specific test date;
  • View and confirm an existing appointment;
  • and Pay road test fees in advance or pay fees for a missed appointment.

"Road Test Booking Online saves time, improves service and responds to public demand for user-friendly electronic services," Sterling said. "We've worked hard to ensure that the privacy and security of those people using this system is fully protected."

The public can access Road Test Booking Online through www.mto.gov.on.ca.

Road Test Booking Online is available from 6:00 a.m. to midnight, Monday through Saturday, and 10:00 a.m. to midnight on Sunday. Road tests may still be booked through the ministry's automated telephone lines at: 1-888-570-6110 or 416-325-8580.

"The Road Test Booking Online is another example of our government's commitment to become world leaders in e-government, while ensuring excellence in customer service," Sterling said.
