Evaluation of Ontario's Drinking & Driving Countermeasures

Drinking and driving imposes significant costs on society. Between 2003 and 2012, 1,670 people were killed and 33,628 were injured on Ontario's roads in alcohol-related collisions. Ontario is committed to combating drinking and driving, and has implemented numerous countermeasures against this unacceptable behaviour.

To help inform the development of policy and public education efforts, the Ministry of Transportation has conducted a comprehensive, systematic evaluation of Ontario's drinking and driving countermeasures.
