Traffic volume information is used by many people to assist them in assessing the viability of business proposals, land use options, marketing, advertising, and a host of other activities. The publication Provincial Highways Traffic Volumes 1988-2010 provides traffic volumes on an annual and seasonal average basis for selected links in the provincial highway network. The traffic pattern type and accident rates on the selected links are also indicated.
The information provided includes Annual Average Daily Traffic (AADT: Average 24-hour, two way traffic for the period January 1 to December 31, 2010) for each of the sections of highway under MTO jurisdiction. This data has been extracted from the Provincial Highways Traffic Volumes 1988-2010 CD-ROM, which contains 23 years of AADT, SADT, SAWDT, WADT and AR information. For the CD-ROM version of the 1988-2010 Traffic Volumes, please visit ServiceOntario Publications and enter Provincial Highways Traffic Volumes in the search field.
