5. The Vehicle
This section examines vehicles involved in motor vehicle collisions in Ontario. Passenger vehicles made up close to
80 per cent of all vehicles involved in motor vehicle collisions. In 2006, of all motor vehicles involved in collisions,
about 1.13 per cent had apparent mechanical defects.
