Community Transportation Pilot Grant Program Application Guidelines and Requirements 2014-15
The Ministry of Transportation (MTO) has established the Community Transportation Pilot Grant Program (the "CT Program"), a $2 million, 2-year pilot grant program, to provide financial assistance to Ontario municipalities for the development and implementation of community transportation initiatives.
The application period is now closed.

Projects that will be considered for funding are those related to the development of community transportation solutions to address local transportation needs, including ways to better utilize existing transportation resources through coordination of service and the sharing of resources, such as vehicles, staff and drivers.
Community Transportation Resources
- Towards Coordinated Rural Community Transportation: A Resource Document, August 2014 is a document that provides practical guidance on developing a coordinated community transportation service. This document is published by the Rural Ontario Institute.
- The National Centre for Mobility Management (NCMM) website is also a good resource for municipalities seeking specific or technical guidance on transportation coordination technologies, on community engagement and other community transportation practices.
