Supplement to Appendix F:

The offences listed below will be assigned 6 points on the CVOR record if the offence occured after March 31, 2001.

The previous point schedule will apply for offences which occured prior to February 2001.

The Conviction Code Table lists offences applicable to commercial vehicle operators. "CD OFFENCE" denotes the Conviction Offence Code #, along with a long form description of the offence. The points assigned for each offence are given in the next column.

The "Sfty" column identifies offences that have been considered safety (S) or administrative (A). The Alternative Group ("AltGrp") breaks the convictions down into the following categories:

  1. Driver related
  2. Vehicle related
  3. Load related
  4. Other

The first digit of the offence code indicates the legislative/regulatory source of the offence (see list below). The remaining nine digits indicate the section or regulation number in the following format:

The "Ctgy" column identifies the category of the offence where:

1 = Document, 2 = Driver, 3 = Vehicle, 4 = Load, 5 = Overweight, 6 = Overdimension, 7 = Dangerous Goods, 8 = Environment, 9 = Fuel Tax Act, 10 = Hours of Work, 11 = Maintenance.

Note: * Out of province convictions are presently not being captured on CVOR.
** Overweight convictions will be assigned 2 points, where the amount of the overload 2000 kg or more. For overloads identified as less than 2000 kg, '0' points will be assigned.
