Register a new motor home

To register your new motor home, visit a ServiceOntario centre.

Bring one of the following documents:

  • your new vehicle information sheet (NVIS)
  • a certificate of origin (if your motor home is from the United States)

The manufacturer or importer should give you the NVIS with the motor home.

Register a used motor home

To register your used motor home, you need to bring supporting documents to a ServiceOntario centre.

Changing the year, make and model

To change the year, make and model on a registered motor home, visit a ServiceOntario centre.

Bring all of the following supporting documents:

  • the Ontario vehicle permit - the vehicle portion of the permit is required
  • one of the documents listed below containing the correct year, make and model:
    • the original vehicle manufacturer's warranty
    • a copy of the manufacturer's invoice
    • a copy of the bill of sale or certificate of sale from the original selling dealer
    • a copy of the certificate of title or certificate of origin
    • a copy of the new vehicle information statement (NVIS), if applicable
    • a letter from a new vehicle dealer who sells same make of vehicle
    • a sworn affidavit from the vehicle owner explaining the discrepancy
